Komodo National Park is only a one-hour flight from Bali, and three days and two nights is enough to do it properly: walk with wild Komodo dragons beside a ranger, climb Padar for the famous three-bay viewpoint, and snorkel off Pink Beach. Because Turtle Island Bali is part of Juara Holding Group — the same family as Komodo Luxury and Bali Premium Trip, operating trips across Indonesia since 2015 — one company handles everything end to end, from your Bali hotel pickup to the boat in the park and back again.

One Hour From Bali — That Is the Whole Secret

Most guests assume Komodo means a long expedition. It does not. Direct flights leave Bali’s Denpasar airport for Labuan Bajo, on the island of Flores, several times a day, and the flight takes about one hour. Labuan Bajo is the gateway town: your boat, your crew, and the national park are all waiting right there. That is why a 3-day, 2-night format works so well — you lose almost no time in transit, and families we host from Australia, the UK, and the US regularly slot it into the middle of a ten-day Bali holiday.

What Three Days and Two Nights Actually Looks Like

Day 1 — Fly, board, sail. Morning pickup from your hotel in Nusa Dua, Seminyak, or Uluwatu, then the flight to Labuan Bajo. You board your boat before lunch and sail into the park, usually with a first island stop and snorkel in the afternoon, and dinner on deck as the sun goes down over the islands.

Day 2 — The big one. A sunrise hike up Padar rewards you with the three-bay panorama you have seen in every photo of Komodo — around 30 to 45 minutes of steps, taken at your own pace. Then Pink Beach, where crushed red coral tints the sand, followed by the ranger-guided dragon trek on Komodo or Rinca island. One honest note we always give guests: these are wild animals in their natural habitat, not an enclosure. Sightings on ranger-led walks are very common, but never staged — which is exactly what makes it special.

Day 3 — Snorkel, sail back, fly home. A final morning swim at a sandbar or reef, then back to Labuan Bajo for the return flight. Most guests are back at their Bali hotel in time for dinner.

What to Pack for Komodo

  • Passport or ID — required for the domestic flight
  • Closed walking shoes for the Padar and dragon treks
  • Reef-safe sunscreen, hat, and sunglasses
  • Swimwear, a rash guard, and a light layer for the sunrise hike
  • A dry bag for phones and cameras on boat transfers
  • Motion-sickness tablets if you are sensitive to boats
  • Some cash in rupiah for park fees and small purchases

Why “One Company” Matters Out Here

A Komodo trip has many moving parts: flights, harbour transfers, park permits, ranger fees, the boat itself, and getting you back to your Bali hotel afterwards. When each piece belongs to a different vendor, one delay can unravel the lot. Booking through us means Juara Holding Group’s own teams run both ends — the Bali side you already know from our Turtle Island tours and packages, and the Komodo side through Komodo Luxury. Full details of the route and boat options are on our Turtle Island to Komodo 3D2N page.

Komodo itineraries are quoted on request via WhatsApp, because the price depends on your boat class, cabin type, season, and group size — private boats for families are available. If you would like your Bali airport arrival smoothed out too, our VIP airport fast track starts from USD 105 per person. For our published Bali-side rates, see the price list.

Build Komodo Into a Bigger Indonesia Trip

Most guests pair Komodo with a few relaxed Bali days first. A gentle glass bottom boat morning to Turtle Island — a favourite with young children on our family experience — balances the more adventurous park days nicely, and if this is your first visit, start with our first-time-in-Bali guide. Hotel pickup across South Bali is included on our packages with hotel pickup. Going further, the same group runs trips to Sumba, with its wild horses and the tall-roofed village of Ratenggaro, and Raja Ampat, Indonesia’s best underwater destination — see Explore Bali and Beyond for the full map.

Ready When You Are

Tell us your travel dates, your Bali hotel, and who is coming, and we will send a full Komodo 3D2N quote the same day. Message us on WhatsApp at +62 811-2859-0000 or email [email protected] — and if you have quick questions first, our FAQ covers the most common ones.
