How Far Is Turtle Island from Each Area?
Turtle Island sits just off Tanjung Benoa, at the quiet southern tip of Bali. That makes it wonderfully close for Nusa Dua guests — and a proper morning drive for everyone staying up the west coast or in the hills. Here is what the road really looks like in normal morning traffic, with the pickup window we suggest for a 9:00 AM glass bottom boat.
From Seminyak — 45–60 minutes
The most common starting point after Nusa Dua. Your driver takes the toll road across the bay, which keeps the ride smooth and predictable. We suggest a 7:45–8:15 AM pickup, which still leaves time for a quick hotel breakfast.
From Canggu — 60–75 minutes
Canggu’s lanes are the slow part; once you reach the main road it moves quickly. Plan for a 7:30–8:00 AM pickup. Families with young children often ask us for the earliest boat — the water at Tanjung Benoa is calmest before midday, so the early start pays off twice.
From Ubud — 75–90 minutes
The longest run, but a pretty one, dropping from the rice terraces to the coast. Pickup between 7:15 and 7:45 AM is ideal. Many Ubud guests turn the distance into a feature and book the full-day South Bali and Turtle Island itinerary, so one drive covers turtles, beaches, temple and dinner.
